About The Role
Ahria Consulting is inviting applications from HR professionals who are eager to work in an environment dedicated to supporting older adults, especially those living with dementia and their care partners.
In this role, you will be a pivotal part of McCormick Care Group’s team, fostering a positive and rewarding work environment through relationship and culture building. This is a fast-paced, dynamic setting with regular resident and employee interactions. As the HR Coordinator, you’ll provide hands-on support to attract, manage, develop, and retain employees. You will anticipate, plan, advise, and implement strategies to help McCormick Care Group achieve its goals, enhancing their culture and driving strategic HR initiatives.
You will need these qualifications, skills and experience:
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including working in a unionized environment with collective agreements and labor relations.
- CHRP or related HR designation is an asset.
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care, senior recreation, or a related industry is an asset but candidates with relevant HR experience in other fields will also be considered.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage full-cycle, high-volume recruiting and talent management.
- Ability to provide a clear Canadian Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check and to comply with regulatory mandates (e.g., vaccinations, masking) within a high-risk health care environment.
