The Municipality of Lakeshore is recruiting a Supervisor, Water Treatment to provide frontline operational leadership for its drinking water treatment subsystems, ensuring day-to-day performance, compliance, and consistent delivery of safe, high-quality potable water.
This position is built for a technically strong, calm-under-pressure leader who wants real accountability and visible impact. As the designated Overall Responsible Operator (ORO), you’ll guide operators, coordinate maintenance and scheduling, support lifecycle renewal planning, and maintain 24/7 operational readiness by responding quickly and effectively when urgent situations arise. Reporting to the Water Manager, you’ll help keep one of Lakeshore’s most essential public services operating safely, reliably, and with confidence.
About the Role
As Supervisor, Water Treatment, you are responsible for the daily operation and performance of Lakeshore’s drinking water treatment subsystems, ensuring safe, reliable service that meets all legislative and quality standards. Acting as the Overall Responsible Operator (ORO), you will provide technical oversight and operational direction, manage staffing and scheduling, coordinate contractor activities, and maintain full compliance with legislative standards and requirements. Your role is central to maintaining operational readiness, responding to incidents, and ensuring facilities operate efficiently and withstand regulatory inspection and audit scrutiny.
Beyond operational oversight, this role places strong emphasis on people leadership and system stewardship. You will lead and support water treatment operators and student staff, foster a safety-first and respectful work environment, and support training, certification, and performance management. Working closely with the Water Manager and internal partners, you will contribute to preventive maintenance programs, asset lifecycle planning, budgeting, tender development, and emergency planning to help ensure Lakeshore’s water treatment systems remain resilient, well-maintained, and trusted by the community they serve.

About the Role
As Manager, Capital Projects, you will play a central role in transforming Council priorities, master plans, and long‑term infrastructure strategies into well‑planned, high‑quality capital projects. Leading complex transportation and municipal infrastructure initiatives within the public right‑of‑way, you will provide strategic and hands‑on leadership across the full project lifecycle, while maintaining strong oversight of scope, budgets, schedules, and risk.
Working collaboratively with Infrastructure leadership, finance, planning, operations, consultants, regulators, and the community, you will guide multidisciplinary teams and oversee consultants and contractors to deliver projects that are safe, fiscally responsible, and responsive to community needs. This role is well suited to a confident, technically grounded municipal leader who brings sound engineering judgment to complex decisions, communicates effectively in politically and publicly visible environments, and leads through accountability, clarity, and trust.
